1. Warranty Coverage

MAXIMAS provides a limited warranty for its DRAM modules, SSD products, embedded flash products, memory cards, USB flash drives, and related memory and storage products.

MAXIMAS warrants that covered products are free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use, proper installation, and operation within the product’s specified conditions during the applicable warranty period.

If a product is confirmed by MAXIMAS or its authorized service center to be defective due to materials or manufacturing issues within the warranty period, MAXIMAS may, at its sole discretion, provide one of the following remedies:

  1. Repair the defective product.
  2. Replace the defective product with the same model.
  3. Replace the product with an equivalent or better model if the original product is discontinued or unavailable.
  4. Provide a credit or refund only when repair or replacement is not reasonably available.

This warranty applies only to the original product purchased through MAXIMAS or an authorized distributor, reseller, or sales channel.

MAXIMAS may provide optional paid services, including Extended Warranty, Failure Analysis Report, Lifecycle Support, and project-specific technical support.

3. Limited Lifetime Warranty Definition

Limited Lifetime Warranty does not mean the lifetime of the customer, device, or system. It refers to the product’s normal serviceable lifetime as determined by MAXIMAS, subject to product availability and applicable warranty conditions.

If a product covered by Limited Lifetime Warranty is discontinued, end-of-life, or no longer serviceable, MAXIMAS may replace it with a functionally equivalent product based on product availability. If no equivalent replacement is available, MAXIMAS may provide an alternative remedy at its discretion.

4. SSD Warranty Limitation

SSD products are covered by warranty until the earlier of the end of the stated warranty period, the product reaching its rated TBW / DWPD limit, or the SSD health indicator reaching 0%.

MAXIMAS reserves the right to determine SSD warranty eligibility by reviewing diagnostic data, including but not limited to:

  1. SMART attributes.
  2. SSD Health status.
  3. Total bytes written.
  4. TBW / DWPD usage.
  5. Power-on hours.
  6. Program / erase cycle count.
  7. Bad block count.
  8. Media wear-out indicator.
  9. Firmware logs.
  10. Abnormal workload records.

Normal NAND flash wear-out beyond the rated endurance is not considered a product defect and is not covered by warranty.

7. Data Responsibility

MAXIMAS is not responsible for any data stored in SSDs, eMMC, UFS, memory cards, USB flash drives, or any other storage products. Customers are solely responsible for:

  1. Backing up all data before submitting products for RMA.
  2. Removing confidential, personal, business, or sensitive data from storage devices.
  3. Performing secure erase where necessary before shipment.
  4. Confirming that the product may be tested, erased, repaired, replaced, or destroyed during the service process.

Products submitted for RMA may be tested, reformatted, erased, repaired, replaced, or destroyed during inspection, failure analysis, or service processing. Data recovery is not included in standard warranty service.

8. RMA Procedure

To request warranty service, customers must follow the MAXIMAS RMA procedure:

  1. Contact MAXIMAS support or the authorized distributor / reseller.
  2. Provide product model number, serial number, proof of purchase, failure description, system configuration, and test results if available.
  3. Obtain a valid RMA number before returning the product.
  4. Pack the product properly using anti-static and protective packaging.
  5. Ship the product to the designated MAXIMAS service center or authorized RMA location.
  6. MAXIMAS will inspect and verify the product after receipt.
  7. If the product is confirmed to be warranty-eligible, MAXIMAS will repair or replace the product.
  8. If the product is not warranty-eligible, MAXIMAS may offer paid repair, return shipment, or disposal based on customer confirmation.

Products returned without a valid RMA number may be rejected, returned, or delayed.

9. DOA Policy

A product may be considered DOA, or Dead on Arrival, if it fails under normal use within 30 days from the original purchase date or shipment date, depending on the applicable sales channel or agreement.

To qualify for DOA service:

  1. The product must be returned with complete packaging and accessories, if applicable.
  2. The serial number must be readable and match MAXIMAS records.
  3. The product must show no physical damage, misuse, or unauthorized modification.
  4. The failure must be verified by MAXIMAS or authorized service personnel.

DOA products may be replaced with a new or equivalent product, subject to inventory availability.

10. Replacement Product Policy

Replacement products may be new, repaired, refurbished, recertified, or functionally equivalent.

If the original product is discontinued, unavailable, or obsolete, MAXIMAS may replace it with a product of equivalent or better capacity, interface, speed class, endurance level, or functional specification.

The replacement product does not restart the original warranty period. The replacement product will be covered for the remaining period of the original warranty or 90 days from the replacement shipment date, whichever is longer.

11. Warranty Start Date

Warranty starts from one of the following dates:

  1. The original end-customer purchase date shown on a valid invoice or receipt.
  2. The MAXIMAS shipment date to the distributor, reseller, or customer.
  3. The manufacturing date encoded in the serial number, if valid proof of purchase is unavailable.
  4. The warranty start date defined in a project agreement, supply agreement, or written contract.

If the customer cannot provide valid proof of purchase, MAXIMAS reserves the right to determine warranty eligibility based on the product serial number, production record, shipment record, or internal system data.

12. Regional Warranty

Warranty service is normally provided through the original country, region, distributor, reseller, or sales channel where the product was purchased.

Global warranty support may be available for selected products, but service method, turnaround time, replacement availability, logistics cost, customs duty, and tax responsibility may vary by region.

Customers should contact the local distributor, reseller, or MAXIMAS service center before returning products internationally.

13. Shipping Responsibility

For warranty-eligible products:

  1. The customer is responsible for proper packaging and inbound shipping to MAXIMAS or the authorized service center.
  2. MAXIMAS is responsible for return shipment after warranty service, unless otherwise stated.
  3. The customer is responsible for taxes, duties, customs clearance, brokerage fees, import fees, and special logistics charges.
  4. MAXIMAS is not responsible for products lost or damaged during inbound shipping.

For non-warranty products, the customer may be responsible for inspection fees, repair fees, return freight, or disposal fees.

14. Industrial / Enterprise / OEM / ODM Products

For industrial, enterprise, OEM, ODM, or project-based products, warranty terms may differ from this standard policy. Project warranty may define:
